Description of Abstract

The flipped classroom model, wherein some of the course content and activities are pushed out of the class for students to view and engage prior to class (Lage, Platt, & Treglia, 2000), is one of the most common models used in today’s technology-enhanced classrooms. The idea behind the flipped model is that having students complete preliminary or other work prior to class prepares them to engage in higher-order interactive activities while in class (Davies et al, 2013). This presentation will showcase two examples of the flip model used in technology enhanced classrooms.
